So many firsts

So much is going on each day between taking care of Danica and trying to do the rest of life's stuff (housework, shopping, travelling, etc), this has translated into very little computer time for me over the past month (as you may have noticed by the lack of posts).

And so much happens over the course of one month at her age...it's amazing to see her grow and see how many new things she has experienced.

- She can now roll over from front to back, and from back to side.

- She loves sitting in her exersaucer & playing with the toys

- She loves to just sit and observe everything around her, especially in new environments.

- Her first trip out of the province (to Calgary) was a great time, she did very well travelling, only fussed for about 10 minutes on the way there and 30 seconds on the way back.

- She loves to study her hands, which is usually followed by chewing/sucking on them rather loudly.Danica at 3 months

- She has started sucking on her bottom lip, this produces quite a cute face.

Oct 31 - in her halloween colors

- At her shots this week, she weighed in at 17 lb 1.5 oz....obviously she's growing just fine :)

- We had a baby dedication at church for her on Thanksgiving weekend...

- Today marks exactly one year since we found out she was coming into our lives.

I'm sure there are many things I'm forgetting, but hopefully the pictures make up for it!

Yesterday was supposed to be my first day away from Danica all day - there was a mini-conference at work regarding the project I had been working on this spring, and I really wanted to go and hear all the updates on how the project turned out and what the next steps are. My mom was available & willing to babysit, and since Danica takes a bottle occasionally, we figured it would be all good.

Well, for some reason, Danica decided that the bottle just would NOT cut it, so after trying for over 30 mins, mom called me with a pretty upset baby in the background and I went home and fed her. After that I just decided to stay home with her, even though there were 3 hours left in the conference.

I guess we'll try again another time.
